Sapulpa, OK – Sapulpa chapel hit by vandals

SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) Police in Sapulpa are looking for vandals who heavily damaged a small chapel that provides food and clothing for the needy.

Officials say the Harvest Chapel Outreach was heavily damaged with Satanic sayings drawn on walls and religious symbols, a broken toilet that cause flooding and a piano damaged.

A cost estimate of the damage was not available.

Pastor Carol Hoke says most of the food and clothing for the needy is ruined. She says the vandalism occurred between a Thursday night meeting at the chapel and early Sunday afternoon before scheduled services.

Police have recovered a hammer used in the incident and are testing it for fingerprints.
