Federal Government Fines Tulsa

The city of Tulsa gets fined for spending too slow.

The $700,000  fine comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It seems the city held on to community development block grants too long before doling out the dollars.

Rather than pay the fine, the amount will be subtracted from the next round of grants. The City  says none of those who received the funding will be penalized.
