ON PUBLIC RADIO 89.5 HD1 – Talking Money with Your Tykes, Tweens, and Teens
Taped in front of a live audience in Oregon, Marketplace Money persents a special program designed to enable parents to talk about finances with their kids-while having some fun along the way.
Inside the Winningstad Theatre at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, Marketplace Money's Tess Vigeland hosts an insightful and entertaining live event. Guests include:
-Beth Kobliner, a personal finance expert, magazine columnist and frequent commentator on Marketplace Money ... most importantly, also a parent.
-Impulse, Oregon Children's Theatre's young professional improv troupe
-Live Wire Radio, Portland's radio comedy troupe
-Two Essay Winners from the Portland School District's writing contest for grades 6 - 8 and 9 - 12.
A recent study suggested that only 20% of parents talk to their kids about money. Marketplace Money seeks to change that.
