Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's StudioTulsa, we speak with Greg Epstein. He is the Humanist chaplain at Harvard University, and is also a regular contributor to "On Faith," an online forum about religion produced by Newsweek and The Washington Post. Epstein is also the author of a new book, "Good without God: What a Billion Nonreligious People Do Believe." In this book, and on our program today, Epstein emphasizes humankind's potential for goodness --- for doing the right thing, for doing unto others as we would have them to do unto us, for being a good neighbor, and so forth. Indeed, he argues that people all over the world can --- and, in fact, do --- lead lives of purpose, compassion, charity, fellowship, and community without believing in a higher power. That is, they lead such lives "without God." Epstein will appear this evening (Thursday the 10th) at 7pm at an event at the All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa (located at 2952 South Peoria Avenue).
