Happy Birthday to Guglielmo Marconi!
Born April 25th, 1874 in Italy, Nobel Laureate Guglielmo Marconi pioneered wireless communication. The first radio signals were heard across the Atlantic in December 1901, some 2,100 miles away.
In lieu of sending Mr. Marconi a birthday card (we're unsure of his address), consider making a donation in his honor to the 2012 successor of Marconi's spark-gap wireless invention.
