Tulsa investigators are looking for answers after the body of an assisted-living center resident was found on a bus.
The Tulsa World reports that 84-year-old Mary Schlecht was found dead Sunday evening inside a bus that was parked in the Brookdale Tulsa Midtown facility's lot.
Sgt. Dave Walker says Schlecht had been on the Brookdale bus the previous day for a one-hour tour. According to Walker, the bus driver exited the vehicle to get walkers for residents who needed them. Some passengers had already started unloading by the time the driver returned. The driver told police he never saw Schlecht when he checked the bus for any remaining passengers.
Walker says the case is being treated as an unattended death.
