Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's program, we visit with Dr. Travis Triplett of Appalachian State University's Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science. She spoke last week here at the University of Tulsa as part of the Collins College of Business Distinguished Lecturer Series. Dr. Triplett has done a great deal of well-regarded research in the areas of health, fitness, and exercise. In her previous career, she was a competitive athlete herself, and her academic work concerning exercise in particular has led her to consult with professional athletes as well as NASA astronauts. She's also come up with some interesting new findings regarding exercise among both geriatric and pediatric populations. She speaks with host Rich Fisher about these findings on StudioTulsa today --- and about her fascinating work with NASA.
