On Thursday and Friday of this week, the 18th and 19th, TU's University School will present a pair of free-to-the-public presentations by Dr. Charles Fay. Dr. Fay is a parent, consultant, bestselling author, and president of the Love and Logic Institute, Inc., which he co-founded in 1977 with his father, the noted child-rearing expert Jim Fay. This institute is well-respected for how it provides adults with practical tools, useful techniques, and easy-to-remember tips for parenting and teaching -- indeed, countless educators, mental health professionals, and parents have benefited from the Love and Logic program's down-to-earth solutions to common or frustrating behaviors displayed by kids of all ages. Our guests on ST today are the aforesaid Jim Fray, who has actually been on this show in the past, and Ronda Kesler, the principal of Kendall-Whittier Elementary School here in Tulsa, which is actively encouraging its faculty to apply the "Love and Logic" approach to their classrooms. And again, to recap the two "Love and Logic" events happening at TU: "Love and Logic for Home" will be presented by Dr. Charles Fay on Thursday the 18th at 6:30pm in TU's Allen Chapman Student Union, and "Love and Logic for School" will be presented by Dr. Fay on Friday the 19th (also in the Allen Champman Student Union) at 8:30am. You can learn more about both of these free events by calling 918-631-5084.
