The Race For Tulsa Mayor Gets "Feisty"

KWGS News File Photo

The Dewey Bartlett campaign is leveling charges against challenger G.T. Bynum. The incumbent mayor, seeking his third term, says Bynum has a conflict of interest because he has served as a Washington lobbyist for other cities while serving on the Tulsa City Council at the same time.

Bynum dismisses the allegations, saying he has worked with the city legal and ethics department to avoid all such conflicts.

Bartlett started running TV commercials yesterday pointing out the alleged conflict. The Mayor says it is not a negative ad, but a "truth ad."
