TCC Metro Campus to Reopen on Monday

TCC

Tulsa Community College Metro Campus is hosting a 'Keep Calm and Power On' party as it reopens and returns to normal operation on Monday, August 5 following an electrical fire.  The celebration begins Monday on Metro Campus with pizza and soft drinks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the first floor lobby.

Staff and faculty have moved back into their offices on the Metro Campus so all departments and student service areas will be fully staffed and operational.  An electrical fire on June 17 forced the closure of the Main Academic Building, the Student Union and the Phillips Building and the relocation of nearly 4,000 students, faculty and staff during summer classes.

“We themed the reopening event for Metro, 'Keep Calm and Power On', to help welcome students, faculty and staff back to the campus,” said Tulsa Community College Vice President of External Affairs Lauren Brookey.  “In a fun way, it reflects the strength and resolve of our employees to work through the electrical fire and bring power and operations back as soon as possible.”
