Two Different (but Equally Exciting) Plans for New Arts-Related Spaces in Tulsa's Brady District.

Tulsa, Oklahoma – On this edition of our show, we look at two projects just now getting underway in Tulsa's Brady District. Interestingly, these separate yet equally exciting visual-arts outlets would both be located in the former Matthews Automotive Warehouse site, a long-vacant complex of four buildings located on Brady Street in downtown Tulsa. These two projects --- each is essentially still in the planning stages --- are the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa's Visual Arts Center and the Philbrook Museum of Art's jointly-located Adkins Center and Philbrook: MA&D facilities (which would respectively concern Native American and Southwestern art as well as modern art and design --- or "MA&D"). On StudioTulsa today, host Rich Fisher speaks with Randall Suffolk, Museum Director at Philbrook, about that museum's plans for this site. Later in the show, we also hear from Ken Busby, Executive Director and CEO of the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa, in regard to his organization's forthcoming Visual Arts Center.
