Trains were delayed in Newark when a bull wandered onto the tracks

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning, I'm Steve Inskeep. This explanation might be hard to give your boss when you're late. Trains in Newark, N.J., were delayed when a bull, complete with longhorns, wandered onto the tracks. Nobody knows where he came from, although he's now in an animal sanctuary. If you don't buy that story, there's always the runaway Chihuahua stopping traffic on the Staten Island Expressway. Bean, the dog, is now safe, although drivers were delayed. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
