TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three men were killed in a head-on collision in Rogers County.

Authorities say the deadly crash happened Thursday afternoon on East 145th Avenue in the county. An accident report says that 29-year-old Owen McCool of Tulsa was trying to pass a semitrailer when he struck another car head-on.

Authorities say McCool was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Authorities say both passengers in the second car were killed. The highway patrol identified the victims as 21-year-old Clifford Colyer IV and 23-year-old Garold Benner, both of Tulsa.

The driver of the semitrailer wasn't injured.
