A woman is wounded after a home invasion, car chase, and standoff in North Tulsa this morning. Officer Leland Ashley says it began as a reported home invasion on 47th Street North. Minutes later, a patrol unit spotted the suspect’s vehicle nearby, in a neighborhood near 37th Street North and Peoria. Ashley says, after perceiving a threat, officers fired into the pickup, apparently hitting the woman at least once.

The female suspect refused to exit her pickup, even after officers fired pepper balls into it. Finally, after an hour long standoff, a policeman was able to pull the woman from the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.
