Ice Cream Goes Nitro at the Tulsa State Fair

KWGS News File Photo

You can get just about anything deep fried and on a stick at the Tulsa State Fair. You can even get ice-cream made with liquid nitrogen.

Nitro Ice-Cream’s Mike Kudirka says he has a “machine that takes liquid nitrogen at 325 degrees below zero and freezes the ice cream in less than a second.” He makes the ice cream fresh daily.

Nitro is a mobile business. “Even at home in Nebraska, I don’t have a store front.” Kudirka says he takes Nitro to many large events each year like state fairs around the country.
