A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for the following counties: In Oklahoma, Creek, Tulsa, Rogers, Mayes and Delaware.

Hazardous weather...

* A mixture of snow and sleet will spread across northeast Oklahoma this morning...with period of heavy snow possible during the late morning and early afternoon hours. The snow is expected to diminish by late afternoon or early evening.

* 1 to 3 inches of snow and sleet is expected. A sharp gradient in snow amounts is expected...and should any heavy snow bands develop further north...then portions of the advisory may be upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning.

Impacts...

* Roads in the advisory area may become slick and hazardous... especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* Use extra caution if driving. Attempt to stay on treated roadways. Expect travel delays.
