CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) — District Attorney Janice Steidley has more meetings scheduled to help senior citizens detect and guard against potential scams and fraud.
Steidley will visit senior centers to talk with older residents in the district she represents —Craig, Mayes and Rogers counties.
Her office says she'll be giving a series of talks at the centers both to let people know the latest issues and also provide ways older adults can protect themselves and have resources to turn to if they become victims.
Steidley will give a short, informational talk at each session, then stay to visit and answer questions.
Meetings are scheduled for Monday in Claremore; Tuesday in Inola; and Wednesday in Pryor Creek. Steidley also has meetings scheduled June 10 and June 16.
