Keystone Dam Bridge Re-Opens

KWGS News

After being closed to traffic more than a year, the Highway 151A Bridge over the Keystone Dam re-opens today. Chief of Operations for the Army Corps of Engineers, Earl Groves, says it was a complicated and expensive process, but the new bridge should greatly reduce vibrations and wear and tear from large trucks that travel over it. The $15.6 million dollar project was jointly funded by the Corps and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

The original bridge over the dam lasted 50 years, and Groves hopes this one will last that long as well.
