Testimony in the Nuckolls Trial

Tulsa County Sheriff

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A woman has testified that a Tulsa County sheriff's deputy asked her to touch him inappropriately and that she cooperated because she was afraid of being arrested.

The Tulsa World reports the woman testified Wednesday in the trial of 27-year-old Gerald Nuckolls. He's charged with two counts each of sexual battery and indecent exposure, and he resigned from the sheriff's office shortly after his arrest last September.

The woman said she feared arrest for having an open vodka bottle in her car in March 2014. Another woman testified Wednesday that Nuckolls touched her breast and exposed himself while he said he was searching her home for drugs in September 2014.

Defense attorney Terry Funk said Nuckolls would testify in his defense. He has denied the allegations.
