Wesley Spohn will receive EMSA's first Everyday Hero Award for the 2016 year. Wesley saved the life of his father and other motorists on January 30, 2016.
He was in the car when his father began to have chest pains and passed out at wheel on highway 75. The 13-year old was able to maneuver the car to a stop and call 911, getting his father the help he needed.
The award will be given on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the EMSA Headquarters.
