Roads Slipperly North of Tulsa

A thin layer of ice covers the roads and bridges in northern Oklahoma. Temperatures are well below freezing and that is causing fog and drizzle to stick to the roadways.

Numerous crashes have been reported in portions of Washington and Osage Counties because of slick roads.

Areas of light freezing drizzle will persist into the morning hours across parts of northeast Oklahoma northwest of I-44. Some light icing will be possible mainly on elevated surfaces. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon, although the advisory may need to be extended in time if temperatures remain below freezing into the afternoon.
