The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 73 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, bringing the state's total to 5,310.
No new deaths and 38 new recoveries were also reported Sunday. Sunday and Monday COVID-19 reports are typically low because of less testing activity Saturday and Sunday. Results are reported the next day.
The state health department now considers 3,983 people to have recovered from COVID-19, leaving Oklahoma with 1,327 known, active cases. Patients are considered to have recovered if they did not die, are not currently hospitalized and it has been at least two weeks since they tested positive.
Symptoms, however, have been reported to persist for weeks.
COVID-19 has killed 288 Oklahomans since March 18.
Confirmed cases in Texas County, which has fewer than 20,000 residents, continue to climb. The panhandle county now has 696 cases of COVID-19, behind only Oklahoma County's 1,074 and Tulsa County's 781.
A pork processing facility in Guymon, the Texas County seat, had an outbreak of COVID-19 that's led to an effort to test all 2,700 workers and test as many people in the community as possible, even those without symptoms.
