Black "CLOUD" Friday? Severe Weather Possible Tomorrow

Ares of rain will continue to overspread eastern Oklahoma

and northwest Arkansas this morning and continue through the

afternoon. Some brief heavier rainfall will be possible across

southeast Oklahoma today.

Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will increase Friday

as an upper level system and cold front move through the

area. Severe potential will be in place later in the day and

Friday night as a few storms near the front will be capable

of producing large hail. Widespread one to two inch rainfall

amounts are likely across much of the area Friday and Friday

night, with locally higher amounts possible.

Showers and storms will shift east on Saturday as the front clears

the area. Gusty southwest winds developing during the day will

bring much drier air into the area, and fire weather concerns will

increase for at least parts of eastern Oklahoma. Gusty winds will

continue into Sunday, however settled weather conditions will

persist into the next work week.
