Celebrating Jazz Greats with January Birthdays...on the Next Edition of All This Jazz

Listen for the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 26th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa.

Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz, across a wide range of styles, from 9 o'clock till midnight. From John Coltrane to John Zorn, Woody Herman to Woody Shaw, Chris Connor to Kris Davis, and Gerry Mulligan to Geri Allen, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we dig sharing the same with our listeners. Join us!

Our forthcoming broadcast will feature music by Chick Corea, Red Norvo, Lee Wiley, Chico Hamilton, and Antonio Sanchez, among others. Also, on this final weekend of the first month, our show’s third-hour theme (beginning at 11pm) will be Jazz Greats with January Birthdays…and thus we’ll spotlight such varied masters as guitarist Joe Pass, vibraphonist Milt Jackson, bassist William Parker, and pianist Herbie Nichols (shown here). Finally, please note that ATJ playlist info can be found here, at the bottom of the page...and that we maintain a Facebook page for our show

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
