Tulsa, Oklahoma – On our show today, we have an interesting discussion with the internationally renowned husband-and-wife team of environmental artists, Christo and Jeanne-Claude. They first met in the late 1950s, and have collaborated on several famous works over the years, including the wrapping of the Reichstag in Berlin and the Pont-Neuf Bridge in Paris. In early 2005, their decades-in-the-making project "The Gates" was on view in New York's Central Park --- a gorgeous, maze-like, widely appreciated installation that utilized more than 7,500 steel-and-fabric, saffron-colored gateways. A documentary film about "The Gates" (which carries the same title) was recently released, and the artists themselves will be in Tulsa to attend a special screening of this film, which will also feature a subsequent Q&A, at the Philbrook Museum of Art on July 11th.
