Tulsa, Oklahoma – David Finckel and Wu Han have been married for several years; they have a teenage daughter and live in New York. More to the point, Finckel and Han are also, both as a team and individually, among the most esteemed and influential classical musicians at work today. Cellist Finckel and pianist Han have traveled the world as renowned musicians, have recorded extensively, and have been effusively hailed in the international press. They have together served as Artistic Directors of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center since 2004, and are the co-founders and co-directors of Music@Menlo, a chamber music festival in Silicon Valley that began in 2003. They also launched the firm known as ArtistLed, the first musician-directed and Internet-based recording company, which celebrated its first decade of operation in 2007. Just prior to their recent appearance in Tulsa, they spoke with Rich Fisher on StudioTulsa about their many and laudable musical activities.
