Tulsa, OK – At 7pm tonight (Thursday the 19th), in the Lorton Performance Center on the University of Tulsa campus, Prof. Richard Shweder of the University of Chicago will deliver a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Lecture entitled "Robust Cultural Pluralism in the New World Order: Three Prophecies." Prof. Shweder is our guest today. What will be the fate of our cultural differences in an increasingly globalized world? How have things like bigotry, ethnic hatred, and cultural bias among human beings changed in the wake of the Berlin Wall's collapse? Or haven't they changed? And what's the difference between multiculturalism and cultural pluralism, anyway?
