Tulsa, Oklahoma – On this Memorial Day edition of our show, thoughts of home, and family, and sharing a good meal at home with family. In other words, thoughts of comfort food. Our guest is James Oseland, the editor-in-chief of Saveur magazine, who's also been a judge on Bravo's "Top Chef" TV show. Oseland and his Saveur colleagues have just put out a great new cookbook called "Saveur: The New Comfort Food --- Home Cooking from Around the World." As Oseland tells us, "comfort food" means different things to different people worldwide --- but, essentially, such food is celebrated for being simple to make, delicious to taste, hearty if not heartwarming to dine on, and satisfying to the last bite. Thus Oseland's cookbook presents some 100 mouthwatering recipes from all over the planet --- as enhanced by more than 200 vivid photographs and detailed sidebars describing the people, ingredients, and techniques behind the recipes themselves.
