Tulsa, Oklahoma – Since it's "back to school" time once again, we at StudioTulsa are offering a series of outstanding education-related programs from our archives. We're calling it Education Week --- five shows from the recent past in which we hear from leading educators and education experts. On today's show, the fifth and final program in this series, we speak with Dr. Lawrence Lezotte, winner of the 2009 Brock International Prize in Education, a prestigious award jointly given by the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Tulsa. Dr. Lezotte has long been known as the preeminent spokesperson for the Effective Schools movement, which he emphasizes through ongoing research and implementation the "Seven Correlates of Effective Schools" --- a system of interrelated educational standards that Dr. Lezotte has written and lectured about often.
