Filing Period Opens for Oklahoma Super Tuesday Primary

OETA

Want to be President? Now is your chance. You will probably want to be serious about it as the filing fee is $5,000 for Oklahoma’s Super Tuesday Primary.

The election, to decide Oklahoma political party White House standard-bearers, will not be until March 3rd. However, the filing period is today through Wednesday at the State Capitol.

Oklahoma is expected to be one of the first states where former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg files. A late entry into the Democratic field, Bloomberg is skipping the early states and focusing on Super Tuesday states like Oklahoma.

Nearly half of the needed delegates for nomination will be available that day. Elections are planned in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Wyoming and Virginia and the territory of American Samoa.
