The Gathering Place will host a beer and wine festival spanning the entire park.

The inaugural Tulsa Beer & Wine Festival will be Nov. 2. Gathering Place Executive Director Tony Moore said it will be a high-end event featuring themed areas where foods are paired with craft beers and wines.

"If you’re familiar with Pebble Beach and the exotic car show, this is our version here in Tulsa. So, it’s a combination, mix of exotic cars, stringed instruments, music and pretty cool food. This is a culinary experience for our foodies," Moore said.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is sponsoring the inaugural event. Senior Marketing Director Martin Madewell said it’s just what Tulsa needs.

"We’re so happy to see everything that’s happened at the Gathering Place, the momentum that it’s brought to the city, to the region, and to be able to be a partner with the Gathering Place is truly an honor for us," Madewell said.

A fundraising brunch for the Rotary Club of Tulsa will take place before the festival. Rotary President Becky Fields said the organization has been a community partner for 104 years.

"We have several agencies that are near and dear to our heart. In fact, we’ve given over $6 million in recent years to our community partners," Fields said.

The Rotary Club supports programs like shop with a cop for disadvantaged kids, leadership training for high schoolers and the police athletic league.

The festival requires a ticket to enter. The park will be open during the event,  and Moore said free events will still be the Gathering Place’s focus.
