Governor Stitt Fills Vet Cabinet Post

KWGS News File Photo

Gov. Kevin Stitt has picked a retired Air Force general and aerospace industry consultant as his secretary of veterans affairs and military, filling the last spot on his cabinet.

Stitt announced on Monday his selection of retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Ben Robinson to the cabinet post that requires Senate confirmation.

Robinson was selected after Stitt’s previous pick for the job, Brian Brurud, withdrew from consideration. Brurud’s withdrawal came after Oklahoma Watch reported Brurud’s consulting company was being sued for allegedly underpaying veterans who worked for him.
