Heads Up... Stormy Weather Ahead

NWS Photo
The potential for severe weather ramps up Tonight as
thunderstorms develop in the vicinity of a cold front and
sweep from west to east across eastern Oklahoma and western

Arkansas Tonight. There will be adequate instability and deep layer shear for some of these thunderstorms to become severe. Tornadoes, golf ball size hail and wind gusts to around 60 mph will all be possible. The greatest potential for severe weather will be across southeast Oklahoma into west-central Arkansas. Heavy rain will also be possible across southeast Oklahoma and western arkansas with 1 to 3 inches of rain possible across this region. This could lead to flooding of low lying areas. The thunderstorm activity is expected to exit the region late Tonight.
