Hearing Delayed for Woman Charged in McAlester School Threat

Pittsburg County

McALESTER, Okla. (AP) — A preliminary hearing has been delayed for an 18-year-old Oklahoma woman charged with terrorism for allegedly threatening a shooting at her former high school.

Court records first reported by the McAlester News-Capital show Thursday’s scheduled hearing for Alexis Wilson of McAlester was postponed until Jan. 6.

The request for the delay filed by prosecutors say more time is needed because some subpoenaed information has not yet been received and the lead prosecutor is currently involved in another trial.

Wilson has pleaded not guilty to the charge, which carries a potential life prison sentence.

Authorities say Wilson was arrested in September after a co-worker told investigators she said she wanted to shoot 400 people at McAlester High School and investigators viewed video of her firing an AK-47.
