Jazz Greats with May Birthdays (on the Next All This Jazz)

Tune in for the next broadcast of All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 30th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa. It'll be three hours of can't-miss modern jazz…all of it selected and presented by an actual person (rather than a robot)!

And in the thematic, 11pm hour of our show, on this last weekend of the month, our focus will be May Birthdays. Thus we'll hear from Cecil McBee, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eddy Louiss, Woody Herman, Christian McBride (shown here), and more. And elsewhere in the program, listen for tunes by Rhoda Scott, Ben Allison, Michael Dease, Jack Sheldon, and Marilyn Crispell, among others.

Join us, fellow jazz buffs! Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, we deliver recent and classic jazz across a wide range of styles. All This Jazz is all about modern (and post-modern!) jazz music in its various forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.

Finally, please note that ATJ playlist information is here, at the bottom of the page...and that we maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks for listening.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
