Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett, Jr. is winging his way west. The Tulsa mayor is on a fact-finding mission to the west coast. He will be exploring partnerships between cities, schools and the private sector.

We will go to Seattle and Portland to look at vocational aviation training programs. The mayor believes such programs could be advantageous to Tulsa's aviation industry and its quest for skilled workers.

Mayor Bartlett will also make a stop in Long Beach, California to review an inter city project that has transformed a  failing high school.
