Miro Quartet & Jon Kimura Parker on Performance Oklahoma

Welcoming Artistic Director Constantine Kitsopoulos and Executive Director Randy Thompson in 2013, the 2014 Festival presented the Amici New York orchestra in a series of concerts which included the Festival's Opening Concert featuring pianist Jon Kimura Parker and the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro and the Piano  Concerto No. 20 in d minor, K 466 of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Symphony No 1 in D Major (Titan) by Gustav Mahler, the Amici NY orchestra joined by the newly formed OK Mozart All-State Youth orchestra in a side-by-side performance.

Performance Oklahoma offers the final chamber music program from the OK Mozart International Festival radio broadcast series this week featuring the Miró Quartet and pianist Jon Kimura Parker who perform the Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op 81 of Antonin Dvo?ák, the String Quartet in e minor, Op 59, No. 2 of Ludwig van Beethoven and the Piano Quintet in f minor, Op 34 of Johannes Brahms from OK Mozart 2013!   Performance recordings were made by Tom Lazarus: http://www.classicsound.com/.
