More Rain on the Way for Metro

KWGS News

Showers and thunderstorms will develop and move into parts of eastern Oklahoma this evening ahead of a cold front and upper wave that will approach the region. Storm coverage will increase, mainly across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas after midnight. At this time, severe weather is not expected. Thunderstorm chances will continue into Wednesday, mainly across northwest Arkansas as the upper system departs. Most of Thursday will be dry, however chances for thunderstorms return by Thursday night and will continue into the weekend. A surface boundary will move into the area over the upcoming weekend, and will increase the potential for some severe weather along with heavy rainfall.
