More soldiers return from deployment

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Friends and family have welcomed home about 200 more soldiers with the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat team. The soldiers who were deployed last June arrived Friday morning at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City after serving in Afghanistan and Kuwait. About 500 soldiers with the 45th have returned this week and about 180 more are to arrive on Saturday. Nearly 2,200 soldiers from the 45th deployed to Afghanistan last June and about 800 more were sent to Kuwait at the same time. The Guard says most of those soldiers have now returned to the United States and the last group is expected to arrive in Mississippi for de-mobilization processing in the next two weeks.
