On the Next All This Jazz: The Bernstein Centennial

Listen for the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 25th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa.

On the 100th anniversary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein, our program’s special third-hour theme (running from 11pm to midnight) will be The Bernstein Centennial. Thus we'll dig can't-miss jazz takes on the timeless music of "West Side Story," "Wonderful Town," and "On the Town," as well as notable collaborations that Bernstein recorded with Louis Armstrong and Benny Goodman. And elsewhere (i.e., earlier) in our show, we’ll hear from the likes of Pat Martino, Woody Shaw, Emily Remler, Steve Coleman, and Orange Then Blue (to name but a few). Join us!

Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz -- across a wide range of styles -- from 9 o'clock till midnight. From Paul Desmond to Paul Motian, Duke Ellington to Duke Jordan, and Chris Connor to Kris Davis, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.

Also, please note that ATJ playlist information can be found here, at the bottom of the page...and that we maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thank you.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
