On the Next All This Jazz: Live Dates from Ellis Marsalis, Billie Holiday, Archie Shepp, and More

Join us for All This Jazz on Saturday night, the 24th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa. It'll be three solid hours of can't-miss modern/recent/classic jazz, from 9pm till midnight!

And in the 3rd and thematic hour of our show, running from 11pm to 12am, our theme will be Live Recordings.

Hearing live music at a concert hall, nightclub, festival, or the like can be, alas, an experience that’s hard to come by these days…. But we can (and we will!) still gather here in Radioland to dig "recorded live" performances by the likes of Ellis Marsalis (see above), Billie Holiday, Archie Shepp, Keith Jarrett, and others. And elsewhere in our show, listen for music by Annie Ross, Al DiMeola, Sam Gendel, Randy Weston, Enrico Rava, The Herbie Nichols Project, and more.

Tune in, fellow jazz buffs! Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, we deliver jazz music across a wide range of styles. Indeed, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern) jazz in its many forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.

Finally, note that ATJ playlist info is here, at the bottom of the page...and that we maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
