And...since today is the 89th birthday of Sonny Rollins, our show’s third-hour theme (beginning at 11pm) will be Sonny’s Tunes. Thus we’ll hear various jazz greats doing such familiar Rollins fare as “Oleo” and "Doxy" and "Pent-Up House" (to name but a few). And elsewhere in the show, we'll dig music by Don Pullen, Andy Bey, Enrico Rava, Maynard Ferguson, and many more.
