On the Next All This Jazz: Top-Notch Live Recordings from Snarky Puppy, Kurt Elling, and Others

Tune in for the next installment of All This Jazz, airing at 9pm local time on Saturday the 28th, right here on Public Radio 89.5 / KWGS-FM (and streaming free-of-charge at publicradiotulsa.org).

From Armstrong to Ellington to Bird, from Monk to Miles to Wynton, and from Pat Metheny to Vijay Iyer to Diana Krall...ATJ offers three hours of modern jazz, both recent and classic, across a range of styles. And we always employ a theme in the 11-to-midnight hour of our show.

This time around, that theme will be Live Recordings as we listen back to a great show that originally aired in early August. We'll hear mighty tasty recorded-onstage tracks from Woody Shaw, Snarky Puppy (shown here), Kurt Elling, and many others. And elsewhere in the program, we'll dig the likes of Stan Kenton, Joe Chambers, Marian McPartland, and more.

Join us! If you're a jazz fan, then All This Jazz is 100% your bag.

(Two final points: ATJ playlist information can be found, after scrolling down a bit, right here...and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
