On the Next All This Jazz, on the Weekend After Thanksgiving: Great Old American Tunes

Catch the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 30th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa.

We'll hear from Larry Young, Dizzy Reece, Dianne Reeves, Carla Bley, and Chris Pasin, among many others. And our program’s third-hour theme -- running from 11 o'clock until midnight, on this weekend after Thanksgiving -- will be Great Old American Tunes. Thus we'll dig jazz takes on such long-familiar themes as "Bye Bye, Blackbird," "We Shall Overcome," "Shine On, Harvest Moon," and "Battle Hymn of the Republic" (to name just a few).

Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz, across a wide range of styles, from 9pm till midnight. From John Coltrane to John Zorn, Dave Brubeck to Dave Douglas, and Chris Connor to Kris Davis, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.

Please join us! Also, note that ATJ playlist information can be found here, at the bottom of the page...and that we maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
