Hope you can tune in for the next broadcast of All This Jazz, beginning at 10pm Central on Saturday the 16th --- right here on Public Radio 89.5 (KWGS-FM)...and via live-stream at PublicRadioTulsa.org.
For our second-hour theme, we'll offer a special "time capsule" of sorts as we listen back to various jazz albums that were recorded forty years ago, in 1975, from Keith Jarrett's THE KÖLN CONCERT to Rahsaan Roland Kirk's THE CASE OF THE 3-SIDED DREAM IN AUDIO COLOR to Weather Report's TALE SPINNIN' -- and many others, dear listeners and/or LP buffs!
And in the first hour of All This Jazz, we'll dig music from a similarly wide range of jazz artists, from Sidney Bechet to Aaron Goldberg to Ramsey Lewis.
Join us, jazz fans! ATJ is A-OK, all the way from start to finish.
(The fine print: ATJ airs each and every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5, from 10pm until midnight. We always thereafter offer a 7pm re-airing of the program on Sunday evening, on Jazz 89.5-2, which is our station's all-jazz HD Radio channel. Each week, we spin modern jazz, both recent and classic, across a range of styles. And the latter half of our two-hour program, beginning at 11pm, invariably carries a theme of some kind. Also, for those among you so inclined: ATJ has a Facebook page. And the latest playlist data is posted here. Cheers.)
