At OSU-Tulsa, a Screening of "Age of Champions" --- A Documentary on the National Senior Olympics

On this edition of our show, we speak by phone with Keith Ochwat, the Managing Director of the non-profit Documentary Foundation, which has produced some notable films that have appeared on PBS-TV. This organization's latest film, "Age of Champions," is due to appear on PBS in 2013. It's an inspiring, highly engaging group portrait of several different athletes/participants in the National Senior Olympics, and Ochwat is the film's producer. (You can learn more about the film --- which depicts a 100-year-old tennis whiz, an 86-year-old pole vaulter, and a group of basketball-playing grandmothers --- at this link.) Tonight, Monday the 10th, AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Persons) and OSU-Tulsa will co-host a free screening of this widely acclaimed film; it begins at 6pm in the OSU-Tulsa auditorium (with doors opening at 5:30pm). As Ochwat tells us, following the screening tonight, a Q&A session will be presented --- and there will be a few Tulsa-area senior athletes attending this event as well.
