Tulsa, OK – Woman charged in bicyclists' deaths free on bond

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The Sand Springs woman charged with manslaughter in the deaths of two bicyclists is again free after posting an increased bail.

Bond for 38-year-old Tausha Borland was increased Monday from $100,000 to $300,000 after prosecutors asked that it be raised to $500,000.

Borland is charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter for the June 9 deaths of Christa Voss and Matthew Edmonds. She's also charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an injury accident.

Jail records show Borland was released Monday night after posting the higher bail. She is under house arrest, cannot drive, must avoid alcohol and wear an ankle monitor.

Authorities say the two were killed when Borland drove into them as they rode along Oklahoma 51 near Sand Springs.
