Performance Oklahoma: Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble

Intimate Portraits in Chamber Music Part 3

Performance Oklahoma is back with an exciting new season of Oklahoma concerts, the program now marking its tenth anniversary year! This week we’ll hear the third and final of three programs drawn from the Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble’s eighth annual four part festival held this past June: Intimate Portraits in Chamber Music, the Festival offering performances of duos, trios and quartets; small ensemble pieces showcasing the more intimate side of collaborative performance, the camaraderie and the communication, revealing a more private and personal side of the composer. The Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble in "Intimate Portraits Part 3" features the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Francis Poulenc, the Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano by Bohuslav Martin?, three tangos for clarinet, piano and strings; Libertango and Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla and Breakdown Tango by John Mackey, the London Trio No. 1 in C Major for Flute, Violin and Piano by Franz Joseph Haydn and the Quartet No. 2 in E-flat Major for Piano and Strings, Op 87 by Antonin Dvorák.

This program airs Saturday, October 26th, 8pm on Classical 88.7, HD-1.
