Grand Romanticism On Saturday, March 16th, the OKC Philharmonic offered its Classics 5 program featuring the grand and romantic Symphony No. 9 in C major "the Great" by Franz Schubert and the beautiful second piano concerto by Sergei Rachmaninov featuring guest pianist Stewart Goodyear. Guest Conductor James Feddeck began his musical career as a student of Alexander Mickelthwate’s and has gone on to become the assistant conductor for the Cleveland Symphony and a guest conductor around the world. Proclaimed "a phenomenon" by the Los Angeles Times and "one of the best pianists of his generation" by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Stewart Goodyear is an accomplished young pianist as a concerto soloist, chamber musician, recitalist and composer and has performed with many major orchestras of the world.
