Performance Oklahoma: Penderecki Piano Trio

Penderecki Piano Trio

This week we’ll hear the acclaimed Penderecki Piano Trio, created by three Polish musicians, closely associated for many years with the legendary composer Krysztof Penderecki and his music. The three are acclaimed artists: laureates of many international music competitions with long histories of performing across Europe and in North America, South America, and Asia. Both as soloists and chamber musicians, as well as members of the Meccore String Quartet, they have performed in many distinguished concert halls and over their artistic career have collaborated with many of the world’s leading musicians and ensembles. The three have also been honored with nominations and awards for their recordings and are graduates of the the Hochschule für Musik Köln, the Boston Conservatory, the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Pozna?, where they currently serve as faculty members. Presented in the second concert this season by Chamber Music in Oklahoma, on Sunday, November 10th at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City, the Trio offers works by Franz Joseph Haydn, Pawel Lukaszewski and Claude Debussy.

This program airs Saturday, December 14th, 8pm on Classical 88.7 HD-1.
